Laser marking and engraving of Ceramics.

 

Ceramic materials, like Al2O3, AlN and ZrO4, are widely used in industry and academic areas due to their advanced properties such as electrical insulation and wear resistance. However, the brittleness and hardness of ceramics make them difficult materials to be marked on. There is almost no easy tool available except lasers.

 

In addition, unlike traditional ink painting method, laser marking doesn't require extra consumables. There is no involvement of additional material, which can avoid potential contamination and save extra cost.
